New Poles & Garden Kiosk Added to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom

Recently, crews have installed several new props in the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue at Magic Kingdom. On Wednesday, we reported on new Tiana’s Foods boxes. There are now several new poles and a structure in the garden.

The new poles are taller than the lampposts installed in the last few weeks. Most of the lampposts are fully wrapped in plastic but the new poles aren’t.

They look similar to white birch trees. They have small supports sticking out of their sides. This one had white cloth wrapped around it near the top.

At first, we thought they were supposed to be trees.

More poles in the queue.

However, when we hopped on a Walt Disney World Railroad train, we got a better view and realized they aren’t fake trees.

They look like lampposts but, considering there are already blue metal lampposts throughout the queue, we think the poles might be supports for shades.

The top two-thirds of the poles are cylindrical while the bottom thirds are rectangular.

The bottoms have floral designs with four petals.

In contrast, the lampposts (some of which have been unwrapped) have fern designs.

A Tiana’s Foods garden is coming together further back in the queue. We previously reported on fake plants in large planters. Now there is a new kiosk.

The kiosk is brown with a green roof.

The plants near the kiosk appear to be green peppers and onions. We know peppers are an important crop to the fictional Tiana’s Foods co-op, which has a line of hot sauces.

Crew members working in the Tiana's Bayou Adventure queue.

There were several crew members on site this Thursday. They were working around the garden, under the Walt Disney World Railroad station, and around the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure flume.

There are also more Tiana’s Foods boxes in a stack nearby.

It looks like the boxes will ultimately frame the entrance into the queue’s barn.

Some of the boxes have metal detailing but some don’t. This may mean they aren’t all complete.

Under the train station, crews are installing more flat rocks. Much of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue is made of flagstones.

Dozens of plants have also been planted under the train station.

The new Walt Disney World Railroad staircase is almost done. Crews first demolished and reconstructed the exit staircase, then moved onto the entrance. The ramp and exit staircase are open for guests during construction.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at Magic Kingdom this summer. The family of Leah Chase, the inspiration for Tiana, will be the first guests to ride.

It will open at Disneyland Park later this year.
