“CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular” will “celebrate the emotional power of music by leveraging the iconic scores and scenes from blockbuster films that have inspired Universal Orlando’s past, present, and future attractions.”

Featured IPs will include “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts,” “Jurassic World,” “Jaws,” “Shrek,” “Ghostbusters,” “Trolls,” “Back to the Future,” “Universal Monsters,” “Transformers,” “How to Train Your Dragon,” “E.T.,” “Fast and Furious,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” “Minions,” “The Mummy,” and “King Kong.”

The new show will feature over 600 drones. We reported on rumors of a drone show in early 2023. Universal Orlando Resort tested drones in the sky in March of this year.

“CineSational” technology also includes 228 fountains that can reach heights up to 131 feet, 4K projection mapping, and an original composition featuring newly arranged scores. Check out our latest construction update.

Universal Orlando Resort has not offered a nighttime lagoon show since 2022 when a hurricane damaged lagoon projectors. Universal canceled the Halloween Horror Nights show Ghoulish: A Halloween Tale. In 2023, Universal announced Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration would not return either.
