REVIEW: Did We Just Have the BEST Food Day EVER at Disney’s Pixar Fest?

Pixar Fest is happening now at Disneyland Resort — and runs through August 4th — and we’re back to check out even more specialty treats today!

Barley and Ian at Pixar Fest

You’ll find a full menu of limited-time treats at Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and even Downtown Disney for this year’s Pixar Fest!

We’re checking out some MORE of the special treats today…let’s see what we’re snacking on! First up, some new snacks in Disneyland Park!

The Marigold Bridge

We’re starting out with a dessert inspired by CocoThe Marigold Bridge at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante!

Here she is!

This new cupcake is made with a tri-colored white sponge, cinnamon croquantine, cinnamon mousse, and cream cheese frosting decorated with a chocolate bridge and orange chocolate shavings. It’s available for $6.99.

It’s very pretty!

This was lightly sweetened, and the main flavor we got here was cream cheese — we couldn’t taste much of the cinnamon at all. The cake was moist and fluffy, but it ultimately just tasted like a plain cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

Inside the cupcake

If you like low-key cupcakes, this might be the dessert for you. But if you’re hoping for those unique flavors to really come through strongly, we suggest snagging something else.

BBQ Potato Dog

Next up, we’re heading to Refreshment Corner for a Toy Story-themed snack — the BBQ Potato Dog. This dish features smoked sausage, BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, fried onions, and green onions served in a baked potato.

BBQ Potato Dog

This pricey treat is $15.49. The first flavors that come through are a smokiness from the sausage and a strong BBQ flavor from the sauce. We really appreciated the light, refreshing flavor of the coleslaw and the crunch from the onions.

BBQ Potato Dog

Honestly, we had zero complaints here! The potato was nice and soft, and it soaked up some of the sauce. This was really filling, so even though it’s on the pricier side, it felt somewhat worth the cost.

So if you want something hefty and filling (and very meaty!), we suggest you check it out!

Luigi & Guido Cone

At the Cozy Cone 3, you’ll find the Luigi & Guido Cone inspired by Cars!

Luigi & Guido Cone

This snack featured cheese tortellini, Pomodoro sauce, and mozzarella topped with basil panko and served in a bread cone. You can snag it for $10.99.

Look at that pasta

This was mostly cheesy with hints of basil and tomato. The tortellini was warm and fresh, and if you got a bite with mozzarella it was extra cheesy! The Pomodoro sauce was light and refreshing, which was a much-needed balance overall. The basil panko was strong if you got too much of it, but in smaller doses it helped season the cone.

Tortellini

Honestly, we really liked this one! If you’re in the mood for a carbo-load, make sure to try it out.

Adventure Is Out There! Sundae

If you’re searching for something sweet, the Adventure is Out There! Sundae from Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream might be it!

Let’s try a sundae!

This sundae is made with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and a candied balloon in a waffle cup for $9.29. And you know what? It’s hard to go wrong with a hot fudge sundae!

It’s so cute!

The ice cream was rich, thick, and full of good vanilla flavor. The fudge balanced it out with a deeper chocolate flavor, and the sugar decor on top just really added to the fun overall look of the treat. This was a smidge heavy on the chocolate with both the fudge and the chocolate-dipped bowl, so be warned if you’re not a die-hard chocoholic.

A classic!

If you’re a fan of a classic sundae, make sure to snag this during Pixar Fest!

Shake 2319

And finally, over at Schmoozies! you’ll find Shake 2319 inspired by Monsters, Inc.

Let’s try a milkshake!

This shake is a vanilla, orange, guava, and pineapple shake with shaved coconut, whipped topping, and an orange cone. You can grab one for $9.79.

2319 Shake

This was incredibly refreshing with some tropical vibes. The main flavor that comes through is vanilla-orange, like a creamsicle. You get hints of guava and pineapple throughout, but you don’t really taste the coconut unless you mix it in. Our one complaint is that the tiny cone was kind of stale and had more of an artificial orange flavor.

If you’re a fan of fruity desserts, you can’t miss out on this!

We love the look of this one!

This is just a few MORE of the specialty snacks you’ll find at this year’s Pixar Fest!

And remember, the special Pixar Fest food booths open up in Disney California Adventure on May 10th and we’ll be eating all the food that day!
