The Disneyland Resort has shared their proposed plan for reopening the resort, starting with Downtown Disney on July 9th, the theme parks on July 17th, and two hotels on July 23rd.
When theme parks reopen on July 17th, the 65th birthday of Disneyland Park, the resort will manage attendance with a new reservation system requiring all guests, including Annual Pasholders, to get a reservation in advance. More information on the new system will be released soon.
Parades and other nighttime spectaculars will not be presented and characters will entertain guests in new ways.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are planning to open on July 23rd with increased cleaning measures and other safety protocols. Disney Vacation Club Villas at the Grand Californian will reopen as well.
First though, Downtown Disney is scheduled to reopen on July 9th, including World of Disney, with new changes to promote physical distancing and cleanliness.
More information on new health and safety protocols will be shared soon.
All reopening dates and plans are pending state and local government approval.
