Find Out How the Reservation System Works to Enter Hong Kong Disneyland

In case you missed the news, it was just announced that Hong Kong Disneyland will reopen to guests on June 18th!

Of course, new health measures will be implemented upon reopening for the safety of both guests and cast members. And one of those measures will be limiting guest capacity in order to promote safe distancing. To help manage park capacity, Hong Kong Disneyland will require that guests make advance reservations to visit the park.

The reservation process takes place through the Hong Kong Disneyland website, which states: “All Guests are required to reserve their visit date with their valid tickets, membership cards or ticket vouchers/confirmation through this website within 7 days prior to their visit to the Park.”

The required steps are designated in two parts: first for making a reservation and then what will be expected upon arrival at the park. (Magic Access members, by the way, are able to book reservations one day ahead of the general public.)

To make a reservation, guests will need to login and enter the required information: Ticket, membership card, or ticket vouchers/confirmation information along with the visit date.

If the registration is successfully submitted, guests will see a confirmation on the screen and will receive a personal reservation notification. The steps also note that guests may make reservations for additional tickets or memberships prior to logging out.

Upon arriving at the park, guests will be required to “present their registered tickets, membership cards or ticket vouchers/confirmation for verification and park admission on the reserved visit date.”

A handy list is also provided on the website for how to prepare for your park visit, including purchasing tickets in advance, reserving your date (as discussed here), and installing the Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app.

It reminds that guests will be required to undergo temperature screening and will need to wear a face mask to enter the park, where social distancing must be maintained. And then it’s time for the final step (and the BEST part)…

It has already been announced that guests visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will also need to make reservations to enter the theme parks when they reopen this summer. While details have not yet been released for how the reservation system will work in the U.S. parks, we are certainly keeping an eye on the reservation systems as put in place so far for Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland in case they shed any light on what the process may be like.

As we await more information about the reopening of Walt Disney World Resort (where theme parks will begin reopening on July 11th) and Disneyland (where the parks will reopen on July 17th, pending government approval), you can find all the latest information by visiting any of the links below!
