Like the rest of the Walt Disney World hotels, Shades of Green, a Disney World resort for military members and their families, temporarily closed in March.
But now that Disney World theme parks are set to begin a phased reopening starting on July 11th, several Disney World resorts have also released their resumptive dates.
However, Shades of Green Resort has just extended its temporary closure again. The resort has now delayed its reopening from July 1st to July 15th. That means Shades of Green Resort will not reopen in time for Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s grand reopenings on July 11th, but is currently rescheduled to reopen on the same day as Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th.
Although it’s technically owned by the United States Department of Defense, Disney’s confirmed Shades of Green resort guests count as Disney World resort guests (along with guests staying at other Good Neighbor hotels) when utilizing the Park Pass Reservation System. That means if you’ve booked a stay at Shades of Green Resort and have park tickets, you are currently eligible to make your Disney Park Pass reservations at this time.
We’ll continue to update you in case anything changes, but for now, you’ll want to reach out to Shades of Green to modify your reservation if you had a resort stay planned for the first two weeks of July.
