Moments ago, we reported this year’s Star Wars Celebration had just been canceled.
And in light of this news, Disney has also decided to postpone its Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite.
This year, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite was scheduled for August 27th, which was the same day as the opening night of Star Wars Celebration — the corresponding Star Wars fan convention.
The festivities would have taken guests from Tomorrowland to Batuu and included many special experiences, culminating in the Twin Moons Eclipse Day celebration at Galaxy’s Edge. Now it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out what this “Twin Moons Eclipse Day” dealio actually means!
Special Star Wars character encounters, food, merch, and fireworks were also in the works for Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, but don’t worry — Disney is only delaying the event and they haven’t canceled it yet. So hopefully, we’ll know when they plan to reschedule it for soon!
And keep in mind Disneyland Park has a proposed reopening date of July 17th which is still pending approval, but we should know more details about Disney’s reopening plans for the park VERY soon!
