ICYMI, it was JUST announced that Disneyland Resort has proposed dates to begin a phased reopening. Pending approvals by state and local government, both Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure will open July 17th.
One of the safety measures in place upon the reopening of the parks will be limited guest capacity to promote physical distancing. And Disney has revealed that — as will be the case when Walt Disney World reopens its theme parks starting July 11th — Disneyland Resort will utilize a reservation system for guests.
The new theme park reservation system will require that all guests — including Annual Passholders — obtain a reservation to enter a park in advance of their visit to Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure. Reservations will be subject to availabilty.
Details have not yet been provided as to how the reservation system will work when the Walt Disney World theme parks reopen, and the same is the case for Disneyland Resort. Disney shares that “More details about this new reservation system will be available soon,” and we will share those with you right here as this story develops! In the meantime, you can learn more about the proposed plans for the reopening of Disneyland Resort — including the Resort hotels and the Downtown Disney District — here.
