Star Wars Celebration Cancels August Event, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite Postponed

Star Wars Celebration, which was to have been held August 27-30, 2020 at the Anaheim Convention Center, has been cancelled. The connected Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite at Disneyland Park has been postponed.

At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020.

Along with the cancellation comes the announcement that Star Wars Celebration will return to Anaheim on August 18-21, 2022.

Fans that had tickets for the 2020 event have several options, including a full refund. Ticket holders can also choose to receive a credit for Star Wars Celebration merchandise or transfer their tickets to the 2022 event.

Those that choose to transfer to their tickets will receive an exclusive stormtrooper character pin for each ticket transferred.

Information on Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2020 merchandise will be available soon and those that pre-ordered merchandise can choose to still receive their order or request a refund.

Hotel reservations made through the Star Wars Celebration housing portal will automatically be cancelled.

Requests for ticket or merchandise refunds, credits, or transfers will be taken starting June 22nd and must be completed by August 26th.

Additionally, the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite event that was scheduled for August 27th at Disneyland Park has been postponed to a later date. Information on transferring tickets or receiving refunds should be released soon.
