Disney Confirms THESE 2 EPCOT Attractions Are Postponed

The Disney Parks have officially reopened, but we’re still feeling the ripples of the closures.

EPCOT

We’ve been hanging out around EPCOT today checking out everything that’s changed since we were last here AND the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. One hidden change we found was in the EPCOT Experience where the Spaceship Earth refurbishment and the upcoming Mary Poppins attraction have been removed from the “coming soon” video. Now, Disney has issued a statement about these two attractions.

We already know that the closure postponed the refurbishment of Spaceship Earth. In fact, construction halts had an effect on all sorts of projects in Disney parks around the world. The removal of these attractions from the video caught our eye. Could this mean these changes weren’t going to happen?

Mary Poppins in Epcot

According to Attractions Magazine, Disney has released the following statement pertaining to the two attractions: “As with most businesses during this period, we are further evaluating long-term project plans. The decision was made to postpone development of [the] ‘Mary Poppins’-inspired attraction and Spaceship Earth at this time.”
