We are all anxiously awaiting the imminent reopening of Walt Disney World. For those lucky enough to be going right away, you will need to make yourself aware of the many changes Disney has made to protect us all during this time, which can be found in the Disney reopening update. However, have you thought about what you can do to keep yourself safe? Here are some useful items to bring with you for your Disney vacation.
Masks
Face masks are a must currently for your Disney trip, so you might as well make it fun. Incorporate your mask into your outfit planning and get a few different options to coordinate with your outfit. Disney, of course, came out with sets of face masks to choose from with various characters and designs. There are even exclusive DIS face masks available to show your support for The DIS.
Hand Sanitizer
Disney is installing hand sanitizer dispensers all around property, but I still think it is best to keep one on hand so you are never without it. I have one that clips onto my purse or backpack so it is ready whenever I need it. You can make it more fun by getting a Disney-scented version from Magic Candle Company.
Stylus
If you’re trying to stay cash-free (and touch-free) when purchasing items in the parks, you will also probably want to avoid touching the keypad where you have to sign or type in a pin at checkout. Bring a stylus with you to avoid touching, and then go crazy buying all those snacks you’ve missed while the parks were closed!
Cooling Towel
Whether it’s subconscious or not, many people are rightfully worried that wearing a mask in the hot sun will make them feel overheated. This makes bringing a cooling towel even more important than before. Combine this and taking breaks in air conditioning, and your park days will be much more manageable in the Florida heat.
Sunblock
I don’t know about you, but I refuse to have a mask tan line on my face after being in the park all day. If you’re going to be in the sun a lot and you tan easily, don’t forget to put on that sunscreen!
This is just a short list of items I think will be useful, but feel free to let us know what you’ll be adding to your must-haves in the comments.
