The experience is very similar to how it’s been since the Magic Kingdom opened almost 50 years ago! Some things have changed, like the look of Cinderella Castle, while others have not. Today though, we spotted a BIG change to how Cast Members dress on Main Street, U.S.A. — and it’s a pretty surprising shift!
When we were strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. today, we spotted some Cast Members walking around in SHORTS! This may not seem too crazy, but diehard Disney-goers know that in the 50 years of Main Street’s existence, Cast Members on Main Street have worn long pants or skirts!

This change definitely has an effect on the more old-timey look of Main Street Cast Members, but we’re happy if it makes Cast Members more comfortable in the Florida heat!

What an interesting update! It might take us a little getting used to seeing those shorts, but we’re still lovin’ our interactions with the Main Street Cast Members. Keep an eye on DFB for more Magic Kingdom updates!
