During our trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, we couldn’t help but notice that the Isle of Java was closed.
Isle of Java, in case you’re not familiar, is one of the spots on Discovery Island where you can grab a pick-me-up cup of coffee or pastry. It also just so happens to be home to the Tiger Tail Chocolate Twist. If you’re hoping to grab a Tiger Tail on your next trip to Animal Kingdom, though, all hope is not lost…
As it turns out, Isle of Java has just reduced its hours, so it’s not closed entirely. That said, the window of time is pretty limited, as the spot is currently open from 8AM – 11AM only.
Still, that’s pretty much the perfect time to start out your stroll with a coffee and a pastry (or even one of the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuits that you can grab in the mornings at various Counter Service locations around Animal Kingdom) as you wind your way around the park.
Additional spots for your cup o’ joe (or tea) in the park include Royal Anandapur Tea Company and Creature Comforts, the Animal Kingdom Starbucks location. So you’ll still have plenty of options throughout the day to keep you well-caffeinated for your WILD time in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
