There’s been a pretty big change to the Disney World resort hotel reopening plans this morning.
Several Disney World resort hotels have had their reopening dates delayed, and that means there’s a whole new round of affected guests who will need to deal with their reservations. Today, Disney has confirmed that they will give affected guests the option to move their reservation to another hotel at no charge.
Previously in the reopening process, some guests affected by cancellations and schedule changes have had to pay the difference if they wanted to modify their reservation to a different resort. With the current changes, that is no longer the case. Now, those looking to modify can do so at no additional cost.
The delayed dates that this statement applies to are the following:
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was set to open on August 12th and will now be opening on October 4th.
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort was set to open on August 12th and will now be opening on November 1st.
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort was set to open on August 24th and will now be closed until further notice.
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn was set to open on October 1st and will now be closed until further notice.
If you are affected by the recent change in reopening dates, Disney will be contacting you with information on your options. Stay tuned to DFB for all of the latest updates about the resort hotel reopenings in Disney World!
