Though the Downtown Disney shopping district has begun a phased reopening, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, and the Disneyland hotels have delayed their reopening and have yet to announce a reopening date.
Now, Disney has an update for guests who were hoping to visit in August.
Guests who have a Disneyland Resort hotel reservation between now and August 8th are receiving notification that they should modify or cancel their hotel reservations or vacation packages.
Disneyland originally proposed a hotel reopening date of July 23rd and a theme park reopening on July 17th, but that plan did not get state and local government approval as the global health crisis is still greatly affecting Southern California.
Though reservations are currently canceled through August 8th, that does NOT mean Disneyland hotels or theme parks are reopening on August 9th. Currently, there is still no timeline. Disney has just stated that these experiences “remain closed and will reopen at a later date.”
Of course, as soon as Disneyland does have its reopening dates confirmed, we will let you know!
