News: Monorail Transportation Will NOT Be Available for EPCOT When Disney World Reopens

We’ve got another BIG transportation update for ya, and this one’s a bit of a doozy!

Magic Kingdom

Moments ago, we told you Disney Skyliner would be loading only one party per gondola and that Disney World’s parking lot trams would be unavailable when the parks reopen.

And now, we’ve just learned while Magic Kingdom’s monorail service to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center has already resumed, monorail transportation to EPCOT will not be available until further notice. Disney World’s website reflects this recent update:

Keep in mind Disney World’s bus transportation has resumed at this time but is currently running between Disney Springs and the resort hotels only. Once the parks reopen, bus transportation between the resort hotels and Disney World theme parks will be provided to guests. Disney World has recently installed new distancing barriers on the monorail and implemented other health and safety precautions which you can view here. We’ll continue to closely monitor official Disney sources for further transportation updates and let you know if anything changes!
