States across the country are implementing various travel advisories that typically include an advised or mandated self-quarantine upon entering the state if the traveler is coming from a region with high positivity rates.

Already, we have seen states such as New York add fines associated with breaking those mandated quarantines. Other states, such as Ohio, are currently advising a fourteen-day self-quarantine.
Previously, we reported that Ohio Governor Mike DeWine was requesting that all travelers from states with high positivity rates self-quarantine for 14 days upon entering Ohio. This would apply to both out-of-state visitors entering Florida as well as Ohio residents returning to the state.

Today, however, as reported by NBC 4 News, the Governor has taken matters one step further and is advising Ohio residents to NOT travel into states like Florida and any other areas that are reporting high positivity rates. If they do, they are still being advised to self-quarantine for fourteen days upon returning to Ohio.

There are currently seven states with a positivity rate above 15% that the Governor is advising AGAINST traveling to: Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Idaho, Kansas, and Arizona.
