The past few days have brought some ups and downs to Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain… and we’re not talking about that big drop at the end.

ICYMI, the attraction was temporarily closed for the later part of the day on Sunday, and we found out it was still closed — and even drained — on Monday (that’s yesterday, at press time). But today?

Well, today, Splash Mountain is back in action!

We stopped by during our trip around the park to see everything back up and running… or, at least, it was before the rain started coming down a bit later in the afternoon. But that’s not unusual when it comes to inclement weather, so no worries there!

Of course, we’re not certain how long this will be the case… last month, Disney announced that Splash Mountain will be closing and the attraction will be rethemed to a Princess and the Frog ride. It was not announced when the transformation will begin or how long it will ultimately take.

So if you’re looking to make a splash in Magic Kingdom before the ride goes down for the major refurbishment, now’s a good time to do it! Just remember, as always…

… there’s a “high chance of SHOWERS!” Have FUN!
