NEWS: Tropical Storm Isaias Is Expected to Become a Hurricane with Florida Remaining in the Potential Path

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the storm forecast for Florida this coming week.

Hurricane Skies in Disney World’s Epcot

This morning, a storm strengthened to officially become Tropical Storm Isaias. The storm continues to have Florida in it’s forecasted cone and now, the National Hurricane Center expects that it will strengthen to a category 1 hurricane this weekend.

The 2020 hurricane season is expected to be an overactive one, and Isaias already sets a record as the earliest “I” storm on record.

According to Fox 35, the storm has already brought heavy rainfall, flooding, and strong winds to the Caribbean. Most recent models show the storm taking a more Eastern path, but the Eastern coast of Florida is still in it’s forecasted cone, with the potential for effects to be felt further into Florida.

Those in Disney World this weekend and earlier into next week will want to be prepared in case the storm does have an effect on your vacation.
