We’ve been keeping a close eye on the storm forecast for Florida this coming week.

This morning, a storm strengthened to officially become Tropical Storm Isaias. The storm continues to have Florida in it’s forecasted cone and now, the National Hurricane Center expects that it will strengthen to a category 1 hurricane this weekend.

The 2020 hurricane season is expected to be an overactive one, and Isaias already sets a record as the earliest “I” storm on record.

According to Fox 35, the storm has already brought heavy rainfall, flooding, and strong winds to the Caribbean. Most recent models show the storm taking a more Eastern path, but the Eastern coast of Florida is still in it’s forecasted cone, with the potential for effects to be felt further into Florida.

Those in Disney World this weekend and earlier into next week will want to be prepared in case the storm does have an effect on your vacation. But, at this time, we can’t say for sure how it will the potential hurricane will impact the parks. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates on Tropical Storm Isaias and its effect on Disney World.

Starbucks Lovers: you may have to look somewhere else to get your caffeine fix at Downtown Disney.

It’s an understatement to say there have been lots of changes at Downtown Disney lately. Earlier this month, we got the word that some of the merchandise and dining locations were scheduled to reopen. And then more reopened. And even more.

When we visited Downtown Disney today, we saw that the Starbucks location near the LEGO Store is currently closed. While there is a note on the door, it does not list when the location will reopen. 

We were a bit surprised when we saw this because the location was opened when last we checked.

But never fear, coffee-lovers! The Starbucks location by World of Disney is still open. Do note that it is also listed as temporarily closed on Google at this time. We will continue to update you on this situation and will let you know when this Starbucks spot reopens.

Downtown Disney has been shipping in some new Disney gear!

The Disney character face masks have been very popular at Downtown Disney at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Some of the previous designs featured Mickey, Minnie, and even Baby Yoda. Disney’s been busy churning out new protective gear and has just released a collection inspired by the theme park attractions and characters!

First of all, the line to get into World of Disney was LONG. It stretched all the way back to the Disneyland ticket booths and took us about 25 minutes to get inside the store. It seems that people really wanted their Tiki Room masks!

Speaking of, here’s a closer look at our tropical bird friends! ALL the new Tiki Room merchandise we’ve been spotting lately is making us totally giddy. All of the masks listed here are $6.00.

This Haunted Mansion mask is inspired by the attraction’s wallpaper and giving us ghoulish delights! The only size we spotted today was a child’s size medium. It seems the mask is just as delightful to everyone else too!

Mickey is looking totally groovy in his tie-dye digs! This mask goes well with the flower power clothing we discovered earlier.

We’re ready for blast off with this Space Mountain mask! This galactic face-covering features the familiar Space Mountain building and other space elements!

Bonjour! Aloha! Hello! These are a few of the greetings you receive when taking a ride on “it’s a small world.” This mask is inspired by the different rooms and themes you encounter on the classic boat ride. Is the song stuck in your head yet?

Donald Duck is probably very happy he has his own face mask! Now you too can look like everyone’s favorite duck!
