It’s going to take longer to enter the Epic Universe. During parent company Comcast’s quarterly earnings report, it was officially confirmed that work on Universal Orlando Resort’s future Universal’s Epic Universe theme park has been delayed until “the future becomes more certain.” The park had previously been announced to open in 2023, but that may now shift back. The report revealed that Universal Parks & Resorts suffered a 94% loss of revenue during the second fiscal quarter. It’s the first […]
Curious to discover the ultimate road trip soundtrack, Halfords analysed Spotify data to reveal the songs and artists that are most listened to whilst driving. The study analysed thousands of playlists that included ‘Disney driving’, ‘Disney for the car’ and ‘Disney road trip’ to show that ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from Moana is the most popular Disney […]
We’re always keeping a sharp eye out for work being done in Disney’s biggest work-in-progress park and that means looking at a LOT of the building permits that the company is filing. We’re able to spot crazy new inventions and interesting construction projects this way, and today we spotted a new permit for a project NEAR Spaceship Earth! Hmm…
The new building permit was filed to “Install east support facility graphics.” The East Support Facility is the building to the left of Spaceship Earth when you walk in. For guests, it features the Stroller Rental location, Gateway Gifts, and a restroom.
Permit Screenshot
The permit was filed by Walt Disney Imagineering which usually means it’s some sort of guest-facing change to the park. We’re not sure, but this could mean we see new graphics in one of these areas soon! Perhaps they’ll have something to do with the EPCOT Transformation.
Gateway Gifts
We’ll be on the lookout for any construction barriers or changes in this area, so stay tuned to DFB! We’ll let you know the deal with these new graphics as soon as we do!
We’ve been experiencing a roller coaster of emotions at Beaches and Cream in Disney World today!
Beaches and Cream Menu
The No Way Jose sundae is a crowd-favorite dessert at Disney World. Loads of ice cream are topped with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and served to you in an EPIC dessert goblet. We recently received some photos of the sundae that made us look twice. The sundae was served in a gravy boat instead of a goblet and we were perplexed about the portion size. Was the No Way Jose getting a new look? Is it a smaller portion now? We headed over to Beach Club to take a closer look at the sundae.
We ordered our dessert and it came to us in that glorious glass goblet! Constants are comforting, aren’t they?
No Way Jose…in a Goblet!
We asked the Server and she told us that the sundae is only served in a gravy boat if they run out of goblets. She also told us that the size of the sundae remains the same when served in the boat. It’s the same amount of ice cream and toppings!
No Way Jose
Phew! False alarm! The No Way Jose is still sold in the standard size and easily accessible from a giant glass goblet. It still tastes great too! We’ll continue to make our way back to Beaches and Cream to assess the dessert situations and give you the lowdown.
For three decades, Halloween Horror Nights has terrified guests at Universal Orlando, and a new Annual Passholder exclusive t-shirt pays tributes to the icons that scare up a good time. The black t-shirt, part of the “30 Years 30 Fears” collection, features four icons from the event’s history: Jack the Clown (aka Jack Schmidt) from Halloween Horror Nights X, XI, Sweet 16, Carnival of Carnage (2007), and 25 Eddie Schmidt, the icon originally planned for Halloween Horror Nights XI prior […]

When we stopped by Disney World’s Beach Club Resort today to pay a visit to Beaches and Cream, we also made a little detour to check out one of our favorite things…
Disney’s Beach Club
We’re talking about CUPCAKES! The Beach Club Marketplace is the counter service spot where you’ll find sweet treats at this Deluxe Resort, and three cute cupcakes were there just waiting to catch someone’s attention…
It’s joined by two Mickey Cupcakes — complete with chocolate ears! — which are both vanilla cupcakes with a different presentation. One of them sports bright yellow frosting (perfect for Mickey, right?).

And the other is the Mickey Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake! How cute is this?!
Mickey Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake
This one, of course, resembles an ice cream sundae covered in “gooey” hot fudge.
Mickey Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake
Of course, the chocolate topper isn’t actually hot fudge, but the chocolate frosting lends a bit of flavor variation to what is otherwise a classic vanilla treat, from the buttercream top to the soft cake base.

The very best thing about it? Well, if you’re one of our fellow frosting fiends, then feast your eyes on THIS!
Mickey Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake
And THIS is why we always love the sundae-twist-on-a-cupcake… in order for it to resemble an entire scoop of ice cream, they pretty much have to stick a GIANT BALL OF FROSTING on the top! This cupcake is altogether sweet and tasty even with its simple flavor profile.

And it also still offers a fun presentation while not relying on a lot of bold colors, a la the Welcome Home Cupcake (pictured near the top), which can get a little messy, especially for the kiddos. Again, you’ll find this one at the Beach Club Marketplace for $5.99.
And THAT’S the latest from Disney’s Beach Club (even though you’ll see us back here soon from Beaches and Cream)! And while we’re talkin’ ’bout the Beach Club, you can find out more about what it’s like at the reopened Disney World Resort hotels in our DFB YouTube Video right here…
