The parks might not be open yet, but Disney World has still found a way to celebrate the holiday!
In fact, there are several ways to celebrate the Fourth of July, Disney-style! You can catch a virtual viewing of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show, find great deals at Disney Springs, and enjoy some patriotic treats! Speaking of star-spangled snacks, we spotted a gorgeous Fourth of July cupcake at Capt. Cook’s in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that we just had to try!
It’s hard for us to resist a cupcake — especially one as pretty as this!
We spotted this Fourth of July cupcake at Capt. Cook’s. For sanitary reasons, we weren’t allowed to pick it up until we confirmed we were going to buy it!
This patriotic treat consists of a chocolate cupcake, with raspberry cream cheese filling, buttercream frosting, sprinkles, and a chocolate Mickey! And Mickey was even topped with some edible glitter!
The flavors reminded us of the Welcome Back Cupcake we tried at Capt. Cook’s a few weeks ago. And that’s definitely a compliment because this cupcake was DELICIOUS! It was rich and flavorful — and it’s an added bonus that it looks as good as it tastes!
We grabbed this cupcake at Capt. Cook’s for $5.99. Since it’s a holiday treat, it probably won’t stick around for long. But if you’re at the Polynesian Village Resort for the holiday, we definitely recommend giving this snack a try!
