Review! Wine and Dine is Serving Up Many Food and Wine FESTIVAL FAVORITES From Years Past!

We’re back at Walt Disney World’s EPCOT today stuffing ourselves silly with all the 2020 Food and Wine Festival offerings we can fit in our mouths as the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival has made its official debut on the same day as the park itself has started to welcome guests again!

2020 Food and Wine Festival

In what will go down in history as EPCOT’s longest-running festival, this hybrid fest is part Flower and Garden, part Food and Wine, and ALL KINDS of yumminess!

Now we’re heading into the World ShowPlace pavilion, which is home to FOUR of the Festival Marketplace Booths this year. (Be sure to learn a little more about the unique way to access this pavilion here.)

World ShowPlace

And that includes our current destination, Wine and Dine featuring Festival Favorites!

Festival Favorites

Let’s take a look at the menu.

Menu

Last year, what was known as the Wine and Dine Studio featured Seared Scallops and a really delicious Butternut Squash Ravioli along with an Artist’s Palette of Wine and Cheese. This year, however, they’re doing things a little bit differently.

Since only 20 marketplace food booths returned for a Taste of EPCOT (what they’re calling this modified-version of Food and Wine) some booths didn’t make the cut.

But don’t fret — Wine and Dine has become a kind of “Best of Food and Wine Fest” catch-all featuring a menu of Festival Favorites from over the years for 2020!

That way, instead of scampering around the World Showcase to find many of your favorite goodies, they’re now conveniently located in just one spot! Some have even time-traveled to be here it seems! (You’ll see what we mean in a sec…)

Food

Even though Poland hasn’t been at the Food and Wine party for some time, EPCOT has decided to bring back the popular food booth (in spirit) this year by serving up their famous Kielbasa and Potato Pierogi with Caramelized Onions and Sour Cream for $5.50.

This dish is super tasty and PACKED with flavor… though we do we wish it was packed with a little more filling. But overall, it’s still a great pick.

Next up, another blast from Food and Wine Festival’s past — the Seafood Fisherman’s Pie for $6.50 from Ireland’s food booth of yesteryear!

Seafood Fisherman’s Pie

Tucked under that golden pile of mashed potatoes are shrimp (ours had two large), chunks of lobster, and delicious scallops. SO glad to see this dish come back, and we know others are, too! If it’s a new-to-you dish and you love seafood, for sure put this on your list!

Last but not least — it’s GREECE! We were pretty bummed when we found out Greece’s food booth wouldn’t be back for EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival this year, but it was sweet moussaka to our ears when we heard their Spanakopita would be returning!

Pick up one of these flaky-layered beauties with nice, creamy filling for $4.25.

Beverages

Just when you didn’t think the Wine and Dine could get any better, they’re bringing the THUNDER with Ireland’s Guinness Baileys Milkshake!

And, YES, the signature serving cup returned along with it! You’ll love this boozy, chocolatey drink made from Guinness and the famous Irish liqueur — it’s a Food and Wine-MUST! A glass of this good stuff costs $11!

As for the wine at Wine and Dine, the Forge Cellars Dry Riesling Classique, Seneca Lake has moved over to Wine and Dine for 2020! You can try some for $7 a glass. And so has their Conundrum Red Blend from California available for $6 a glass and tenshən Rhône Style White Blend, Central Coast for $7 a glass.

Lang & Reed Wine Company Cabernet Franc and North Coast Frog’s Leap Zinfandel, Napa Valley from Appleseed Orchard’s menu last year are also available for $10 a glass. Meanwhile, you’ll also find Kurt Russell’s Gogi Wines Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills for $16 a glass.

And last, but not least, the Bleu Spectrum has made its way back! The champagne cocktail features Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux with Boba Pearls and originally appeared at Food and Wine back in 2017 at Light Lab. In fact, it even made our Best of the Fest that year!

Bleu Spectrum

While it tastes pretty much like blueberry sparkling chardonnay with some popping pearls thrown in, it’s still pretty entertaining watching the boba pearls bounce around.

Pick one up for $9!

What’s old is new and EXCITING again at Wine and Dine featuring Festival Favorites! We think it’s pretty neat of EPCOT to put together a greatest hits food booth of its own! Of course, we’ll be back to give you our Best of the Fest draft picks in just a little bit, but until then, you can check out our full review of Mexico’s food booth (just one among our many others) here!

France’s booth is still serving a bunch of our favorite foods and beverages from Epcot’s Flower and Garden Fest! Click here to find out which ones!
