We attended the grand reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios yesterday and since we have blazing fast fingers we were able to snag a reservation for Rise of the Resistance when the first batch of boarding groups was released at 10AM!
In fact, the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance filled up quickly this morning as well, but we were able to secure a spot in the virtual queue once again. However, when we checked our boarding group status today, we noticed something was very different!
Here’s a look at a previous Rise boarding group screenshot for comparison’s sake. As you can see, we got into Group 40 and all we saw were some green bars that seemed to be filling up as our arrival window was approaching. Not a very accurate measure of time, but at least it’s some indication your turn is coming up!
But as of today, there’s now an estimated return time feature that tells you approximately how many minutes you’ll have to wait until it’s your time to ride Rise of the Resistance! Pretty NEAT!
We rode Rise of the Resistance yesterday for the first time since the closures — see what our experience was like HERE!
Of course, this is only an approximation and could be inaccurate if the ride experiences a breakdown (which it’s been known to do)! We’re checking out the new feature for accuracy, and we’ll let you know what we find out so stay tuned!
You might get TURNED AWAY from THIS attraction in Disney World — here’s what to do!
