We’re saying goodbye to a Disney ice cream spot today!
Last week, we heard that Ample Hills Creamery will not be reopening in Disney World’s BoardWalk or opening at all at Disney Springs following the company’s bankruptcy and acquiring new owners. Yesterday, we were taking a stroll down the BoardWalk when we noticed that the Ample Hills Creamery sign is GONE!
There’s no trace of the Ample Hills sign that used to sit above the door. In its place sits a blank slate. But you can still see some of the ice cream signage scrawled on the walls. We recently shared that the coming soon Ample Hill signs were missing from the Disney Springs construction site as well.
We’re bummed that we’ve had our last taste of Ample Hills ice cream in Disney World, but we’re pretty darn excited to see what will come next for this space! And don’t worry, if you were looking to get your hands on the Mickey Ears souvenir bowl, it can now be found at BoardWalk Bakery! And get this…it comes with chocolate Mickey waffles now!
Stay tuned to DFB for all of the latest updates about the BoardWalk’s newest vacancy; we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop!
