Walt Disney World Mask Update: Valves, Mesh, or Holes Are Not Allowed

Walt Disney World has once again updated their face covering policy for guests 2 and up. The clarification says that face coverings may NOT contain valves, mesh material, or holes of any kind. Previously, Disney banned neck gaiters and bandanas.

Here is the official wording that is expected to be added to the official website soon:

At this time, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

Face coverings are intended to reduce the transfer of respiratory droplets, and exhalation valves and materials with holes do not adequately filter air that is exhaled.

Current policy also requires that the face covering be made with at least two layers of breathable material, fully cover the mouth and nose, secure under the chin, fit snugly against the side of the face, and be secured with ties or ear loops.
