Before you head out for a full day at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, you’ll want to grab some breakfast to power you through the day!
While sometimes only a Mickey Waffle will do, other times you may find yourself looking for a more unique breakfast treat! We recently stopped by a Walt Disney World resort and found one delicious (and beautiful!) breakfast item for you avocado toast fans, and one breakfast entree you might want to skip!
As we walked into Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, we were totally transported to a tropical paradise! For our latest breakfast adventure, we headed into Old Port Royale.
Inside, we stopped at Centertown Market, a quick service spot at Caribbean Beach, to check out what breakfast bites we could find. We were greeted by a sign featuring the mobile order QR code for the restaurant.
None of the registers were in use, but physical distance markers were on the ground where you would wait in line.
Condiments were self-serve here, as were napkins and utensils. We were pleased to see those single-serve utensil dispensers like what we’ve been seeing at the 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival!
Cast Members kindly served us our coffee from behind the beverage stand.
Then, we took our coffee and breakfast items and found a nice spot outside to sit and enjoy!
First up was the Avocado Toast!! Of course, this isn’t the only place to get Avocado Toast around Disney World. But we were really impressed with this offering.
This dish features a slice of toast loaded with avocado, tomatoes, oranges, pickled onions, and sriracha mayonnaise. It was beautiful, colorful, and, most importantly, delicious!! The avocado was fresh and chunky, not mushy or overripe. The mandarin oranges added a nice sweetness, and the pickled red onions balanced things out with a pop of flavor and a great added texture!
The layer of sriracha mayonnaise on the bottom really brought the whole dish together and added some moisture, making it more of a sandwich than just toast. This was also a filling breakfast option, and a really good find for vegetarians. This avocado toast can be all yours for $7.99.
The Open-faced Ham & Cheese Omelet, on the other hand, was unfortunately not as big of a hit for us. The omelette features cage-free eggs filled with ham, cheddar cheese, and it’s topped with fresh arugula. We got ours with some bacon and sausage.
For us, the omelette was more like a flat and thick egg pancake with bits of ham and a layer of cheese. It didn’t taste very fresh. This dish was $10.29. We’d recommend opting for the Avocado Toast or some Mickey Waffles instead!
We love to see delicious breakfast items around Disney World. We’ll definitely be checking out more breakfast items in the future and let you know what delicious new treats we find!
