While movie theaters have started to re-open, Disney+ has decided to release Mulan on its streaming platform for an additional $30 price tag.
Since the film’s theatrical debut was delayed indefinitely, the option to watch the movie with Premier Access has been a bit controversial. Fans have felt torn over their want to watch Mulan and the extra cost on top of their Disney+ subscription.
However, Disney+ has provided an update to their Mulan streaming according to Screen Rant! Where viewers can pre-order the movie before it’s released through Premier Access on September 4th, the Mulan page states that the film will be released “to all Disney+ subscribers on December 4, 2020.”
Once guests purchase the movie in September, they’ll be able to watch it as many times as they want on the streaming service. However, if viewers would rather wait to stream it for free, Mulan‘s shift to a free format in December could be due to Disney’s hope to release the film in theaters in these upcoming months.
Disney hasn’t announced a theatrical release date just yet. But, in the meantime, you can watch a sneak peek of the movie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the newest trailer before streaming it soon!
Here’s everything coming to Disney+ in September!
