We recently let you know that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance had been appearing as “Temporarily Closed” today, but now we’ve got some more updates on the situation!
Last night, it appears that a huge lightning bolt struck an area in Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can check out a video and that full story here!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
We noticed that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Muppet*Vision 3D had both been listed as “Temporarily Closed” on My Disney Experience today. Now, it looks like Rise of the Resistance will likely be closed for the rest of the day. In My Disney Experience where it typically lists the groups that are currently being boarded for the attraction at the moment, it now states “Now Boarding Groups: Not Boarding.” Thanks to reader Corey Harold for sending us the screenshot below.
Rise of the Resistance
The message also notes that the attraction has reached capacity. It appears the attraction will likely not be boarding any groups for the rest of the day. Whether this is related to the lightning strike, or is due to an unrelated issue, is not clear to us, but we’ll stay on the lookout for more information and let you know what we find!
