We can’t believe EPCOT has been open for almost an entire month now!
Time really flies when you’re out and about enjoying the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.
This year the festival features over 2o signature global marketplaces scattered throughout the World Showcase this year!
We’ve been frequent visitors of the China booth since the festival began, and we’ve polished off more than a few Mongolian Beef Bao Buns which you can read our review of here! But check out this other nice treat we enjoyed on our way through China today — the pavilion’s massive gift shop, House of Good Fortune, has reopened. Let’s go check it out!
When EPCOT reopened last month, only select restaurants, shops, and entertainment were operating. But in the following weeks, more businesses have slowly begun to welcome back guests and now it looks like we’ll be adding House of Good Fortune to the list! Plexiglass barriers have now been installed at the cash registers and social distancing markers have been placed on the ground for guests to stand at while waiting to checkout.
There’s also a defined “way in” and “way out” to keep guests from bumping into each other as they come and go!
Those in-the-know know House of Good Fortune isn’t JUST a gift shop! Towards the back of the store, you can snag some truly one-of-a-kind cotton candy creations! But don’t get your cotton candy dreams and hopes up just yet! The area where the Cotton Candy Artist, Wenbo Zhang, normally spins his web of sugary magic is still closed!
And since the grab ‘n go area is also still closed, a few snacks packaged teas have been relocated to the gift shop area.
Next time you’re passing by the China pavilion, stop by House of Good Fortune and scope the place out for yourself! Who knows — maybe some of its good luck will rub off on you!
