Just last week, a new dining feature was added to the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World guests.
The new Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist allows guests to view Table Service restaurants that have available seating for walk-up guests. That said, as a brand new feature, only two restaurants in Disney World were previously available on the walk-up waitlist: Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Topolino’s Terrace in Disney’s Riviera Resort.
Today, however, two more restaurants have been added to the Walk-up Waitlist, and — as with the previous eateries — both are located in Disney World Resort hotels.
New to the list are Beaches and Cream (Helloooo, No Way, Jose!) at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Ale & Compass Restaurant at the newly reopened Yacht Club Resort.
We noticed that Ale & Compass Restaurant showed an estimated wait time of 5 minutes based on a party of 4. (It also requested that we “move closer to the restaurant” to join the walk-up list.) As a reminder, some restaurants may have walk-up availability even if they do not have the mobile capability, as noted on the app. Guests are always welcome to check with a Cast Member.
ICYMI, upon the feature’s initial release, Whispering Canyon Café in Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Kona Café in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort populated the waitlist, as well; however, we have not seen those two available on the feature’s list since. And, at this time, no theme park restaurants are listed. (As a reminder, to dine in a Disney World theme park Table Service restaurant during this reopening phase, guests must have a required Park Pass Reservation and an Advance Dining Reservation.) But we’ll be keeping our eyes on the new Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist feature and keeping YOU posted on any further additions, so stay tuned!
