We’re back in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT!
And, as always, we’re taking YOU right along with us as we explore the goings on from Future World to World Showcase and all the nooks that make up both sections of the park. We’ve got food news, construction updates, a BUNCH of new merch to gaze upon and more, so we hope you’ll join us!
EPCOT Food Updates
Eats at the EPCOT Experience
The Odyssey Pavilion has been home to Walt Disney Imagineering presents the EPCOT Experience since October 2019.
This truly unique and innovative display allows guests to get a glimpse into all the components of the park’s multi-year transformation.
And, as of this week, it also allows guests to grab a snack while they’re at it, as Eats at the EPCOT Experience has reopened this week!
The menu is more limited than it was when the spot first opened, but this is still a great place to grab a Mickey Bar while you see everything on the way to EPCOT!
Check out the newly reopened Eats at the EPCOT Experience here!
Islands of the Caribbean Festival Food Booth
While we enjoyed seeing another spot reopening in EPCOT, we were sad to report the closing of another.
We were surprised to discover that the Islands of the Caribbean, which is one of the Food Booths offered for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, is currently closed until further notice.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn more. In the meantime…
Read more about the Islands of the Caribbean Food Booth here.
Popcorn… and BEER!
Near Mission Space in Future World you’ll find a Popcorn Cart. While this simple stand focuses on serving up that quintessential buttery park snack, at this particular cart you’ll now also find a small selection of canned beers.
These options were previously served at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe, which remains closed (for now) in the Norway pavilion in World Showcase.
That’s right! If you’re looking for Einstok, try Future World for now!
EPCOT Construction Updates
EPCOT Entrance Area
Our construction updates begin right at the entrance of the park, where we got a glimpse of the new pylons that have been installed at EPCOT’s main entrance fountain!
So many changes that are part of the park’s multi-year transformation are taking place in Future World (which will ultimately become three distinct neighborhoods in addition to World Showcase as the fourth neighborhood).
It’s SO exciting to get even a small look at the results of the work taking place behind those construction walls.
Take a closer look at the NEW pylons in EPCOT here!
Of course, there’s plenty more construction updates where that came from!
Space 220
We always like to peek at the construction for Space 220, the upcoming space-themed restaurant in Future World!
We’re so eager to be able to enjoy our meals in space (from right here on earth) in the future.
Find out the latest on Space 220 here!
PLAY! Pavilion
And work continues on the future Play! Pavilion, too.
This “digital metropolis” will deliver interactive experiences, games, entertainment, and hands-on activities (along with Disney characters) when it opens.
Check out the latest work on the PLAY! Pavilion here!
France Pavilion
And over in World Showcase, we got a good overview (literally, by way of the Disney Skyliner) at the ongoing work in the France pavilion.
The area will include the upcoming attraction, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, as well as a new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris.
Get a great overview of the work taking place in EPCOT’s France here!
EPCOT Merchandise Updates
House of Good Fortune
The House of Good Fortune, the merchandise shop in the China pavilion, just reopened!
Pre-packaged snacks are among the goodies here, along with oodles of panda plush, lovely tea serving sets, and much more!
Take a tour of the reopened House of Good Fortune here!
Among the “much more” right now is a small selection of merchandise commemorating the Grand Opening and 1st Anniversary of Shanghai Disneyland!
Yes, it opened in 2016, which must be why it’s available at reduced prices.
For instance, the Hat is $12.95, the Lanyard is $12.95, the Grand Opening Train Set is $128.00, the bag is $12.95, and the cute Mug featuring Mickey and Minnie is $12.95.
See the Shanghai Disneyland merchandise that’s currently available in EPCOT here!
Mouse Gear
It’s NOT a figment of your imagination…
We found a new FIGMENT Shoulder Plush in EPCOT’s Mouse Gear!
That’s right, you can take Figment ($19.99) with you wherever you go!
See the Figment Shoulder Plush in all his purple glory here!
Mouse Gear also delivered up a couple of new phone cases for Star Wars (and Millennium Falcon) fans!
The new OtterBox Star Wars Phone Case is $59.99, and there is even a new Mickey Balloon (and more!) OtterBox Phone Case for $69.99 at Mouse Gear, too.
Check out every detail of BOTH new OtterBox Phone Cases here!
And even though we’re in EPCOT instead of Magic Kingdom, we still found ourselves a Jungle Cruise Gorilla plush in the Wishables line ($9.99).
But no matter which park you’re in, when you’re in Walt Disney World, you’re having the BEST DAY EVER, and you can celebrate it with this new Water Bottle ($27.99).
That’s right, it’s TOTAL Vacation Mode, baby.
(The Vacation Mode water bottle is $22.99.)
You can see more of the new water bottles here!
That said, no matter where you are in Walt Disney World right now, you’re probably feeling the Central Florida heat, too.
You can use this adorable new Mickey Ice Cream Bar Fan ($14.99) to cool off. Seriously, SO cute.
See the cool new Mickey Bar Fan right here!
La Bottega Italia
Oh, my word…
Have you seen the completely adorable new I Love Gelato Purse at La Bottega in the Italy pavilion??
It’s $44.99, and you just have to see all the little details…

Aaaand THAT’S the latest from EPCOT! We hope you’ll continue to join us as we take you to the other three Walt Disney World theme parks, Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney, and Disney Springs!
We’ll see ya real soon!
