Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is known for his work in film and television, including voicework in Moana and a lead role in the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie.
On Wednesday evening, Johnson announced that he and his family have tested positive for COVID-19.
Johnson posted a video on his Instagram account detailing his recent struggle, saying that his “entire family” tested positive for COVID-19. He did go on to say that they are all “on the other end of it” and that they are now feeling healthy.
Johnson says that his two daughters experienced mild symptoms, but for him and his wife, it was “a different story.” He also expressed how thankful he was to have recovered, and mentioned that he knows others who have lost loved ones to the disease.
According to information shared in the video, Johnson and his family contracted COVID-19 from close family friends, and he went on to encourage viewers to exercise caution when they are in contact with others.
He closed out his message encouraging viewers to take care of their own health and take care of those around them. The full video can be seen on Johnson’s Instagram account.
