First Holiday Weekend Since Walt Disney World Reopened Brings Bigger Crowds

Labor Day Weekend is the first actual holiday weekend since Walt Disney World began the phased reopening of its parks and Resort hotels.

For the most part, since the parks began reopening on July 11th, we’ve seen low crowds and even lower attraction wait times throughout the theme parks, even on some of the most popular ones.

As some of you may have seen in the vlogs we’ve been sharing on the DIS Unplugged YouTube channel, there has been plenty of open space throughout most areas, but that’s not the case today.

With today being the first day of the three-day weekend, photos on social media are showing huge crowds in every one of the four major theme parks with queues extending way past where they typically end as you can see from the following two tweets.

Take a look at some more of the current wait times and notice that for some of the attractions, they’re pretty substantial. Craig also pointed out in some of the videos he put up that some of the published wait times were longer than the time it actually took to board.
