It’s been a busy news day for the Disneyland Resort, which has yet to announce a reopening date more than six months after its temporary closure began. Governor Gavin Newsom noted in his news conference today that an update on theme parks was coming “soon,” although Disneyland released a statement noting their disappointment in the state’s “lack of progress.”
Whether we can expect an update to come soon or not, it’s clear that work is being done to prepare for Disneyland’s eventual reopening! On a visit to the Disneyland Resort today, we noticed a few new signs of work being done specifically when it comes to guests traveling from the parking structures to the park gates!
We spotted benches, trash cans, as well as signage along the roadways that are typically used by the parking trams.
The road where these items were found is used to transport guests from the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals parking structures to Downtown Disney via tram.
The benches and signage seem to indicate that this roadway could instead be used as a pedestrian walkway when the parks reopen!
We also noticed a sign along this road that reads “Reservations Required for Entry to Theme Parks.”
We can potentially expect to see a similar system to Disney World’s Park Pass Reservation System, although the details of what Disneyland’s version will look like is yet to be announced. As always we’ll keep a close eye on these changes and additions to the Disneyland Resort.
