Fall flavors are in full swing around Disney World!
While making our way around Disney Springs, we spotted several new seasonal treats that we just HAD to try! And after tasting some delicious (and gorgeous!) new cake creations from Amorette’s Patisserie, we were happy to dive into some savory fall flavors.
At The Daily Poutine kiosk in Disney Springs, guests can enjoy several varieties of — you guessed it — poutine!
As if the wonderful smell of hot, fresh fries wasn’t enough to catch our attention, we noticed something exciting as we passed by the kiosk — a seasonal menu item! That’s right, Oktoberfest Poutine is BACK at The Daily Poutine!
We’ve been indulging in a ton of cupcakes, frozen beverages, and allllll of the pumpkin spice lately, so we were more than happy to switch things up and give this savory menu item a try!
The Oktoberfest Poutine comes with a base of fries, topped with cheese curds, stout gravy, bratwurst, and sauerkraut. And even though it wasn’t listed on the menu, there was also parsley sprinkled on top!
The first thing we noticed was that the portion size was HUGE! The menu photo shows the poutine served in a cup, but we received ours in a cardboard boat. It’s possible that they’re temporarily out of the intended serving cups, but if this portion size stays the same, we’d say it’s a great sharable option!
And they were generous with the toppings as well! Our poutine had about seven or eight pieces of bratwurst, about a dozen cheese curds, a solid helping of sauerkraut, and TONS of gravy!
The fries were nice and crispy on the edges. The gravy does soak into the fries which can make them soggy after a bit, but as long as you don’t wait too long after you order them to chow down, the fries should hold up pretty well! The addition of the bratwurst and sauerkraut made the poutine extra salty and super flavorful.
Between the generous toppings, hefty portion size, and extra salty kick, we really enjoyed the Oktoberfest Poutine! And at $9.99, this would make for a great shareable snack. If you’re interested in switching things up from the classic poutine flavors, we’d say the Oktoberfest Poutine is worth a try!
