Review! This Classic Halloween Cupcake in Disney World is Inspired By a Favorite Fall Candy

Some of us can’t get enough pumpkin spice in the autumn months. For others, their fall flavor choice is anything apple.

And still others are ALL ABOUT the CANDY… especially that autumn classic, Candy Corn! Though we’re not munching on any candy corn today (…yet 😉 ), we ARE bringing you a Disney confection that’s inspired by it: the Minnie Candy Corn Cupcake!

You’ll likely start to see this treat popping up in confectionery cases around Walt Disney World Resort. While most folks will think of spots like the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom and Goofy’s Candy Co. in Disney Springs, we actually grabbed ours at the Screen Door General Store on Disney World’s BoardWalk.

There are TWO versions available: Candy Corn Minnie features a chocolate cupcake base, while Candy Corn Mickey is vanilla. Both cupcakes, however, feature two very important details: first, candy corn-colored buttercream icing layered in yellow, orange, and white.

And second? Why, they both have chocolate EARS, of course! But only the Candy Corn Minnie Cupcake features a wee little orange icing bow as the final touch.

The Candy Corn Minnie Cupcake boasts a rich and moist chocolate cupcake base. As you can tell, there is TONS of buttercream for all the icing fans out there!

There are no added flavors here beyond the creamy buttercream and the chocolate, and there is no surprise filling tucked inside. But, hey, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a tried-and-true flavor combo! And while that’s true for all cupcake devotees, we think the kiddos will especially love this one due to its colorful components paired with simple flavors.

The Minnie Candy Corn Cupcake is $5.19. And remember, since Screen Door and several other confectioneries are considered merchandise locations, discounts may often be applied, if you are eligible for any right now! (For instance, Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can currently utilize a limited-time 30% discount.)
