Whether you’re checking out a virtual viewing of Disney Cruise Lines’s Tangled: The Musical, or doing virtual school, we’re doing a lot of things virtually now due to the global situation.
But, what if the parents or adults in your family want to take a vacation, but the kids have to do virtual classes? Not to worry! Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort has a special new offering just for you!
You’ve probably taken quite a few “vacations,” and maybe even enjoyed some “staycations,” but have you ever been on a “schoolcation”? Now you can at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort.
Guests who take a schoolcation at the Four Seasons can enroll their kids in supervised schoolwork sessions that will be held in a quiet, dedicated learning space. These sessions will take place in small-group classroom settings set up in the Four Seasons’ event rooms. Physical distancing measures will be implemented, and no more than 6 kids will be allowed per class.
The kids will even have a private terrace outside to take a break. High-speed premium WiFi will also be provided. Kids can be enrolled for a half-day option (9:00AM to 12:00PM) or a full day option (9:00AM to 3:00PM) with lunch included.
According to the Four Seasons website, the schedule for the study sessions is as follows:
- 9:00 am to 12:00 noon: Supervised virtual learning, snack break included (half-day participants depart at noon)
- Lunch break: Students opting for a full day will order lunch off a set menu and the lunch will be delivered at the student’s scheduled lunch break time
- 1:00 to 2:00 pm: Optional enrichment period for those with flexible schedules including Arts and Crafts and Physical Education
- 3:00 pm: Parents pick up their child(ren)
These sessions will be available Monday through Friday beginning September 14, 2020, for school-aged children. The price is $50 per child for a half-day session or $100 per child for the full day session including lunch. You must confirm your reservation for this service at least 48 hours in advance, and attendees must be registered as overnight guests of the Four Seasons.
The individuals overseeing the study sessions will be trained Kids For All Seasons staff. After the kids have finished their schoolwork, they can enjoy all of the Resort’s fun offerings including the lazy river, water slides, tennis courts, and much more.
While the kids study, the parents and adults in the group can relax. They can enjoy the Resort’s adults-only infinity-edge pool, or take advantage of the many treatments available at the spa. There’s also a hair salon available for colour, cuts, and styling services. If the adults want a more active experience, they can play a round of golf at the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club, or enjoy some of the special treats in the Resort’s state-of-the-art practice facility, including a putting course and short course.
The Resort also offers individual and family golf and tennis lessons. Additionally, there are a multitude of wellness trainers who lead individual and family classes in a variety of areas including yoga, meditation, and spinning. There’s also a fitness centre with all kinds of equipment including two Peloton cycles, free weights, medicine balls and more. You can even watch virtual fitness programs in the fitness studio.
The Resort has classes and a cocktail kit to-go box that can show guests how to make some of the Resort’s signature cocktails. Physically distanced cooking classes for individuals or the whole family can also be reserved.
Thomas Steinhauer, the General Manager and Regional Vice President of the Four Seasons Orlando noted “This new offering exclusively for our Resort guests will be both helpful to parents, as well as something really fun for kids to experience.” He notes that this special “schoolcation” offer gives families a chance to change up their kids’ learning environment, and combine school and playtime at the Resort to create lasting memories.
Guests looking to make use of this new schoolcation option can also take advantage of some of the special offers available at the Four Seasons Orlando right now.
