Move over, Sanderson Sisters! There’s a new drink in town that might just be spookier than those Hocus Pocus concoctions being brewed up at Starbucks!
The parks have been a HIT this Halloween when it comes to Fall snacks like the Pumpkin Spice Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, Minnie Mouse Halloween Mousse, and Oktoberfest Poutine (just to name a few). But, there’s a new boozy drink literally bubbling up over at the Mexico Pavilion and Disney Springs in time for Día de los Muertos this year!
In case you aren’t aware, Día de los Muertos festivities last for a few days from October 31st through November 2nd. Since it’s a time to celebrate the lives of our ancestors through time spent with family and great food, La Cava del Tequila and Frontera Cocina are pouring the Dia de Muertos Margarita for guests to use in their toasts!
The margarita is made with Ilegal Mezcal, Tequila Tromba, Pineapple and Lime Juices, Agave Nectar, Activated Charcoal, and Marigold Flowers (that are the same “flowers of the dead” that you’ll find in Coco). However, just like the conditions that Miguel’s family tried to give him when he wanted to return to the Land of the Living, there’s a slight catch to the Dia de Muertos Margarita.
Frontera Cocina will only be serving the drink on October 31st, while La Cava del Tequila will be featuring it for one day on November 2nd in honor of the Día de los Muertos! So, if you’re wanting to get your hands on this extremely cool margarita, you’re going to want to plan your weekend festivities accordingly.
This drink might be debuting at the end of the Halloween, but we are still digging those spooky vibes that make the margarita look like it’s one of Madame Leota’s crystal balls! As the Halloween season continues before Día de los Muertos arrives, we’ll give you a look at everything happening around Disney World.
