Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios is a mystical place filled with unique dining and merchandise offerings. Here, you’re truly transported to another planet (the planet of Batuu, if you’re wondering). You can sip on Blue Milk, pilot the Millennium Falcon, and even create your own droid.
And since you’re being transported to a new planet, of course, Disney wants guests to be able to use that planet’s form of currency, if they’d like. When Galaxy’s Edge opened, guests could purchase a gold Batuuan Spira metal gift card. This was popular and sold out quickly at both Disney World and Disneyland. Yesterday, we shared that a silver version of this gift card was on the way.
Now, the silver Batuuan Spira metal chip gift card has landed at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios! The front of the card depicts the Black Spires you see in Galaxy’s Edge…
…and the back of the card packaging tells the backstory of the currency! The gift cards can be found at Droid Depot (the merchandise shop where guests can build droids) while supplies last.
These metal cards can be used just like any other Disney gift card. The only catch is that it must be loaded with a minimum of $100 and the card itself is $4.99. Also, there’s a $1000 max limit if you really want to go on a shopping spree! Once you use all those dollars up (which shouldn’t be too hard since Disney keeps dropping new ears left and right) you’ll have a pretty awesome Galaxy’s Edge souvenir to take home.
There’s no official word on if these will be making their way open to Disneyland once the parks reopen, but we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime, be sure to check DFB for the latest Disney news. And if you guys have any questions, let us know, and we will do our best to get you the answers you need!
