JAMBO from Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’re taking you along on our most recent trek around this beautiful park — from Discovery Island to DinoLand U.S.A. and everywhere along the way — to check out what’s NEW in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We hope you’ll join us…
… and a few of our friends who want to say “Hello!”
Let’s go!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks
Thirsty River Bar recently reopened, joining its neighbor Trek Snacks in Animal Kingdom’s Asia, just outside of Expedition Everest.
On our most recent visit, we learned that it hasn’t quite returned to full bar status just yet. But even so, guests are welcome to check, and may find that they are able to serve a few options outside of their currently limited menu of cocktails and mocktails.
For instance, we ordered a Vodka Lemonade ($11.00), and it was a refreshing sip on a VERY hot day!
Check out the recently reopened Thirsty River Bar here!
Zuri’s Sweets Shop
And you may have noticed that we were able to grab a delicious slice of the seasonal Pumpkin Fudge at Zuri’s Sweets Shop for the first time in awhile just last week!
It’s Pumpkin Fudge Time! Read our review here!
Here’s a glimpse of some of the other seasonal snacks available at this charming confectionery in Animal Kingdom’s Africa.
You’ll notice Mummy Mickey Cake Pops, Pumpkin Pie Krispie Treats (have you SEEN these??), Witch Minnie Caramel Apples, and more among the offerings.
And there’s plenty more where that came from…

Animal Kingdom Attraction Updates
DinoLand USA
HELLOOOO from DinoLand U.S.A., where Fossil Fun Games recently reopened its colorful, whimsical carnival games to guests!
ICYMI, yesterday we found a new ticket booth where folks who are ready can “STEP RIGHT UP” and purchase their tickets to take a chance!
You never know… you may just walk away with a new Dino plush pal, like we did!
WOO HOO!

Festival of the Lion King
We also couldn’t help but notice that the theater for the Festival of the Lion King has recently added physical distancing markers out front and in their queue lines now.
There is currently no information regarding the return of the beloved production in Animal Kingdom.
However, other live entertainment has recently made its return, as the Dapper Dans (who have materialized for Halloween fun as the Cadaver Dans) are performing once again in Magic Kingdom.
See the return of the Dapper Dans (as the Cadaver Dans) here!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Discovery Trading Company
HOORAY! The Leopard Print Minnie Ears are back in stock at Discovery Trading Company!
Guests were going WILD for these recently redesigned Ears… so much so, in fact, that they sold out in their early release.
But they’re back (for $29.99), and ready to pair with your Animal Kingdom Spirit Jersey.
Take a closer look at the Leopard Print Minnie Ears here!
We also noticed that Discovery Trading Company was carrying the Mickey and Minnie Spatula set as well. (It’s $19.99 for the duo.)
We’ve found bunches of these spatulas sets featuring beloved Disney duos over the past several weeks, all ready to help you whip up some FUN in the kitchen!
