2020 has been a rocky road, but we can’t help but begin to anticipate the arrival of new things coming to theme parks for the rest of the year. Universal Orlando is bringing us a lot of updates and many new things from the Haunted Horror Nights Tribute Store, Jurassic Park Coaster, and all around new things being seen at Universal. There are so many things to keep your eye out for the year, but for now, we want to go over some of these new things we’ve noticed here at Universal Orlando.
NEW LIMITED TIME DONUTS AT VOODOO
Everyone loves donuts, it’s so hard not to love them. The very delicious Voodoo Donuts has brought us 2 new limited time donuts called the Jack the Clown and Pumpkin Spiced Donut. The Jack the Clown is a raised e shell donut with vanilla frosting and raspberry jelly bavarian filling. The Pumpkin Spiced is a raised e shell donut with vanilla frosting and pumpkin spiced filling. Both of these donuts were very tasty but in my opinion, I liked the Pumpkin Spiced donut more, over the Jack the Clown donut. If you’re ever in the mood for some donuts, head out to Universal and go to Voodoo donuts to try these 2 new delicious donuts. They are only out for a limited time, so don’t miss your chance to try these tasty treats.
HAUNTED HORROR NIGHTS TRIBUTE STORE
With Haunted Horror Nights being canceled due to the Pandemic going on right now. Universal had to give a tribute to the wonderful yearly halloween event. This is a place where you can get the full HHN experience from themed rooms, halloween sound effects, and even exclusive merchandise. The HHN Tribute Store features many themed rooms such as Frankenstein’s Lab and Jack the Clown’s Carnival and they have exclusive merchandise for sale. It is rumored that they will add additional rooms but they have now added a new place where you can get food and drinks that would be offered at Haunted Horror Nights. Something new to the Tribute Store is the new Mold-A-Rama Machine. They now have a Frankenstein’s Monster mold and a Haunted Horror Nights pumpkin mold. Before leaving the spooky store, we picked up a Lemon Mummy Tart and a Striped Hot Dog to eat.
JURASSIC PARK COASTER PROGRESS
The Jurassic Park Coaster is highly anticipated here in the Islands of Adventure at Universal! We have been keeping you updated about this new coaster here in Universal as much as we can. But, it looks as if it is coming together very nicely and they have added so much more since the last construction progress update. Something funny that happened on the coaster is that a group of birds were nesting on top of the ride and they had to peacefully remove them and they had to add plastic wrap so they wouldn’t come back. Around the coaster they are building dinosaur containment walls and on the walls a bunch of team members have signed them. Since the last time I was at Universal they’ve added a lot of detail such as rocks, plants, and other theming into the ride. On the other side of the coaster you will see a bunch of beams the workers use to work on the ride and that was not there the last time. All in all, this coaster is coming together beautiful and we can’t wait to ride it!
