Many people will agree that coffee is a necessity (even when drinking it out of a Baby Yoda mug). But some people just aren’t satisfied with the coffee options offered at Disney World hotels.
Sure, Disney World has improved its java game with Joffrey’s in select resort rooms, as well as both Joffrey’s and Starbucks locations throughout the parks (perfect for when the PSL craving hits us). But some coffee lovers still crave something more sophisticated.
That includes the NBA players who live in the NBA Bubble at Disney World. After players began to complain about the lack of good coffee, one player, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, started using his French Press to create his own coffee shop, where he charges a whopping $20 per cup. He called his pop-up coffee shop Big Face Coffee.
So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn’t kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard’s Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

However, Butler just got some new competition, according to the NBA Bubble Watch on Instagram. The Miami Heat’s assistant athletic trainer, Brandon Gilliam, has now opened his own coffee shop! Not only does he promise a more customer-friendly approach, but he also offers free samples and only charges $5 per cup. And he named his shop Little Face Coffee. LOL.
Now THAT’S some serious competition!
However, not to be outdone, Butler’s Big Face Coffee has decided to fight back by accusing Gilliam’s Little Face Coffee of hoarding all the coffee beans in an effort to drive them out of business! LOL! Nothing like a little friendly — and fun –competition!
It sounds like these two are enjoying themselves and their Coffee Wars in the NBA Bubble. Meanwhile, they also have access to the parks after hours, their own barbershop, and quite a few other Disney World perks.
We love seeing the NBA players and staff enjoying themselves at Disney World, and we look forward to learning more about their antics (we also love seeing the Disney stuff they’re wearing!). We’ll keep you updated on what they’re up to!
