Could You Stomach This BRAIN Cupcake in Disney World?

From Halloween balloons to Halloween merch, we’ve been enjoying ALL the spooky season offerings at Disney World!

We’ve also been on a quest to find delicious Halloween snacks around Disney World, and today we spotted one particularly spooky treat we just HAD to try!

While we were walking around Disney Springs, we stopped by Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC. For those who may not be familiar with this spot, it’s got lots of sweet treats and focuses on allergy-friendly, vegan baked goods.

While we were there today, we saw a variety of fall-inspired and other sweet treats like mini pumpkin pies…

…a Caramel Apple Medley…

…and lots of cupcake flavors including Pumpkin Spice and Brownie Sunbutter Caramel.

But, all those treats would have to wait until another day. Once we spotted this next treat, we knew EXACTLY what we’d be ordering — one BRAIN CUPCAKE, please!

Brain Cupcake!

This Halloween snack is made out of a vanilla cupcake with a giant heaping of frosting to form the brain and a raspberry topping to finish it off. If you love zombie video games or tv shows, this may be the perfect treat for you. If, on the other hand, you’re a bit queasy when it comes to a brain being outside of a body, then you may just want to close your eyes when you eat this treat!

After we admired this spooktacular treat from the outside, we had to do a little brain surgery to see what was going on inside. Like we said, there’s a TON of frosting on top to form the brain shape, but if you’re a frosting > cake type of person, then you will probably LOVE this.

Brain Cupcake Inside

We thought the treat might be filled with raspberry on the inside, but it isn’t. Instead, the raspberry is only on the top of the cupcake. The raspberry added a really nice, fresh flavor to it so we definitely wish we could have gotten more of that.

The cake itself has a great vanilla flavor. Overall, it’s a delicious vanilla cupcake with a LOT of frosting and some special raspberry topping, which gives it a fresh taste. Even though it wasn’t the most unique Halloween snack we’ve tasted, it was still very good!

You can grab one right now at Erin McKenna’s for $6. We’re on the lookout for more Halloween snacks so be sure to come back for more delicious updates!
