The new pop-up shop filled with merchandise exclusively available to Walt Disney World annual passholders opened yesterday, and I was able to go live on the DIS’ Facebook page just before the shop opened to share a sneak peek of the shop with everyone. Check out the video of the livestream (as well as my adventures snacking my way around EPCOT) here. Many thanks to Disney for inviting us to be present for the big reveal!
When you approach the Germany pavilion, if the shop is at capacity, you’ll have the chance to be added to a virtual queue. You’ll be able to enjoy World Showcase, and when it’s your turn to shop, you’ll be texted to return to check in at Das Kaufhaus.
Be sure to have both your ID and your annual pass ready to show the cast member just before entering the store. Because the shop is exclusive to AP holders, everything is checked to ensure that you’re who you say you are.
As the pop-up shop is located in the Germany pavilion, the first items you come across as you enter the store represent the host pavilion. All things Puma and Volkswagen are found here, as well are items branded specifically for the pavilion. You’ll find new World Showcase merch here, as well as old favorites.
There are few things cuter than Mickey in lederhosen. Well, perhaps Mickey in lederhosen holding a pretzel. The uber-cute German pretzel crossbody bag ($44.99) can be found here as well.
Brand-new items, such as this Germany pavilion Mickey head ball cap ($19.99) are marked with a sign bearing the AP emblem.
In my opinion, one of the cutest apparel items is the sweatshirt above. Minnie and Mickey as the girl and boy ringing the Germany pavilion’s cuckoo clock? Yes, please. I could only wear it on five days in February, but it’d be worth it.
I had to show you this Mickey pizza slice crossbody bag ($39.99). It’s just too fabulous not to. It comes with an adjustable strap.
Annual passholders obsessed with the seasonal/festival AP magnets will be happy to see that new t-shirts ($29.99) and phone cases ($34.99) featuring the magnet designs are available in the pop-up shop.
The World Showcase items currently being sold throughout the shop are 50% off. The wine glasses above start off at $14.99 each. Annual passholders can also use their 30% discount on these items.
Yes, you read that right: 50% off, and then 30% off. SCORE! There was a bevy of excitement as that news circulated throughout the store. We couldn’t believe it. The some of the pavilion shops are currently closed; it was really interesting seeing some of their merchandise being offered in the pop-up shop.
That huge discount also applies to these Helly Hansen Norway pavilion-branded jackets, which normally sell for $175. If I didn’t live in Florida, I would be really tempted to scoop one up.
Select merchandise in the EPCOT flag collection are 50% (with the 30% added on top) as well. The Minnie and Mickey EPCOT flag plushes start at $22.99.
The Minnie Mouse collection in the photo above is from Disneyland Paris. It was neat seeing this collection in the shop, and I have a feeling it won’t be hanging around very long.
This small Minnie Mouse case is part of the Disneyland Paris collection, and sells for $19.99.
Annual passholders who purchase over $50 in merchandise can choose either a complementary cutting board or set of coasters. Both the cutting board and the coaster set have been offered to passholders in years past, so if you missed getting either one, it’s nice to have another chance it grab it.
The AP pop-up shop will be open on weekdays from 11:30am to park close until November 17th.
