I know that this is National Chocolate Day (a very special day in my book), but if chocolate isn’t your favorite, I tried a treat in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today that might just be the thing your sweet tooth’s been looking for.
The Wookie Cookie can be found at Backlot Express near Star Tours. It’s two HUGE (I cannot stress how ginormous this dessert is) chewy oatmeal cookies with a generous amount of vanilla buttercream sandwiched inside. The cookies are soft, and the buttercream is incredibly sweet and is more of a whipped, airy texture than a rich and dense icing.
The cookie features a chocolate version of Chewbacca’s signature bandolier across the top, and comes with a $5.99 price tag.
I’m always on the hunt for a great-tasting Disney World dessert that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. This one delivers.
The cookie was bigger than my hand, and was something that I could never have eaten by myself. And that’s saying something, because gobbling down desserts is generally not a hard task for me. Bring a friend or two, and you’ll have a happy crew.
I know that the cookie sandwich game is strong in Hollywood Studios. Trolley Car Cafe‘s Carrot Cake Cookie is incredibly stiff competition. This is a great option for the oatmeal cookie lovers in your group.
If you’re stopping by Backlot for the Wookie Cookie in the days ahead, you’ll be able to order and pay for it using the mobile order feature found in the My Disney Experience app.
Have you tried the Wookie Cookie? What did you think?
