NEWS: Frozen Ever After Ride in Disney World to Close Temporarily in Early November for Refurbishment

Yesterday, we got the chance to sing along with all of our Frozen friends at the newly reopened For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Frozen Show

This is one of the few spots you can see the Frozen sisters these days — the others being the Frozen Promenade cavalcade and the Frozen Ever After ride, both of which are in EPCOT. If you’re headed to Disney World in early November, however, you’ll have one less spot to catch up with your pals from Arendelle.

Disney has recently announced that Frozen Ever After, the incredibly popular Frozen attraction in EPCOT, will be closed for refurbishment from November 2nd through November 6th.

During that time, Frozen fans are encouraged to see Anna and Elsa during the cavalcade or at the sing-along show.

Frozen Ever After is actually the number one most evacuated ride in Disney World. It has had 113 evacuations in just two years! It’s a water ride operating on the track of an older attraction with complex technology and animatronics, so perhaps that figure isn’t too surprising.

We’ve seen our fair share of malfunctions on this ride (sleepy Elsa anyone?). We’ll definitely keep our eyes out for more news about this refurbishment and we’ll let you know what we find. If you’ve got a member of the family who had their heart set on riding this attraction though, you’ll definitely want to keep this closure in mind for your plans and see if you can fit in some Frozen fun another way.
