Change has been the major theme for Disney World — and the rest of the world — this year, sometimes in an exciting way, and sometimes…less so.  

One of our favorite tours in Disney World has officially been discontinued, marking yet another change for a beloved hotel. 

Throughout Disney World, parks and resorts continue to add, remove, and tweak operations and offerings. Already this year, we’ve had our minds blown by Splash Mountain’s planned re-theming and the most epic Food and Wine Festival.

The latest change is more of a bummer: the Wonders of the Lodge Tour has been discontinued at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. 

For visitors at this incredible resort, the tour provided an immersive behind-the-scenes look at the AMAZING design and backstory of the hotel and its adjoining villas. 

We spoke to a Cast Member who confirmed that the tours have been discontinued, “at least for now.” Whether it’s permanent or not, time will tell.

For now, though, we’ll just have to settle for wandering around and exploring this awe-inspiring resort on our own!
