Review: We’ve Been Reunited With the Pepper Jack Pretzel in Magic Kingdom!

ICYMI, The Lunching Pad reopened TODAY in Magic Kingdom! This spot is back to its usual duties of serving counter service eats to guests who have blasted into Tomorrowland.

The Lunching Pad

There are no major changes to the menu to report upon reopening… and that’s not a bad thing at all, when you consider that The Lunching Pad serves — among other items — the Pepper Jack Warm Stuffed Pretzel AND the Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel! Join us as we check out the newly reopened Lunching Pad, and grab a pretzel (and more) while we’re at it!

In addition to pretzels (you’ll also find the classic Mickey Pretzel up for grabs here), The Lunching Pad serves two entrée options: a Pulled Pork Sandwich and a Hot Dog, for which you’ll find a few condiments available.

Frozen Slushies are also on offer, with Blue Raspberry and Coke as your flavor choices.

While The Lunching Pad accepts and encourages use of Mobile Order, you can still walk up and order on the left side of the location (coming from the entrance of Tomorrowland).

We couldn’t resist, of course, ordering one of our favorites that we’ve been missing for some time now: the Pepper Jack Warm Stuffed Pretzel!

Now, this isn’t exactly a spoiler-free review, as we (and possibly you, too!) have known and loved the Pepper Jack Warm Stuffed Pretzel ever since it made its debut as the Jalapeno and Cheese Pretzel. (In fact, on the posted menu, you’ll still see it referred to as the Jalapeno Pretzel, while on Mobile Order, it’s the Pepper Jack… Tomato, To-mah-to.)

Either way, you’re getting a warm pretzel filled with creamy pepper jack cheese. We even received MORE cheddar cheese sauce for dipping (though it’s not our beloved plastic cheese… this dip is pre-packaged, and you’ll also receive it if you order a Mickey Pretzel.)

Now, as you know, we love a good sweet treat here at the DFB. But this snack — with a bit of heat coming through from the jalapeno and even some crunch added from the toasted cheese on the outside of the pretzel — is just the right counterpoint to satisfy those savory cravings.

That said, if you ARE looking for something mildly sweet, the Cream Cheese Stuffed Pretzel will do nicely for you without being a total sugar rush. Either will run you $6.79, as will the Mickey Pretzel.

We also grabbed a Frozen Coke for $5.99 — which comes complete with a candy straw at The Lunching Pad — to wash it down.

You’ll find frozen slushies all over Disney World theme parks. And you can even find versions that are more unique than the Frozen Coke, like the Space Ranger Slush which originally made its debut at The Lunching Pad.

But I gotta say, no matter which flavor you choose, there is something about these frozen slushies that really hits the spot on a very hot Florida afternoon, like the one we’re experiencing on this October day.

So, we say, “Welcome back” to The Lunching Pad, and WELCOME BACK Stuffed Pretzels to the Magic Kingdom! Currently, The Lunching Pad is listed on the Walt Disney World website with operating hours on Fridays through Sundays (plus Monday, October 12th) from 10:30AM to 3:30PM. So, grab those pretzels when you can… we don’t think you’ll regret it!
