We are always on the lookout for new menu items at Disney World, and when we come across them, we do the hard work of trying everything so you don’t have to!
And we just noticed some new additions to the menu at Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Hollywood Studios, including a brand new vegan option!
The three new menu items are the Rosie’s All-American Salad, the Toasted “Lobster Roll, and the Vanilla Milkshake. And we tried them all!
First up is the Rosie’s All-American Salad. This salad has Mojo pulled pork, Romaine lettuce, roasted sweet potatoes, crispy tortilla strips, pomegranate pickled radish, queso fresco, and pumpkin seeds drizzled with a tangy and spicy ancho-ranch dressing.
The chef here told us this is a brand new salad, although it’s based on the previous Fairfax Salad at Fairfax Fare. And y’all, this salad was yummy! It can be so hard to find a good salad at theme parks, but this one was almost perfect. We loved how the chips added a bit of crunch. The ingredients were super fresh. And the pork is super flavorful and the ranch gives it all a nice slight kick. It costs $10.99.
The Toasted “Lobster” Roll is a brand new vegan option! The “lobster” part of the sandwich is actually heart of palm, marinated for 48 hours. On top is celery, sweet apples, and creamy dressing, served with homemade potato chips on the side. The dressing is actually vegan mayo, dill, lemon juice, and Nori seaweed.
This sandwich totally surprised us! It doesn’t actually taste like seafood, but more like a yummy salad on a tasty roll. It sort of reminds us of the Caesar Salad Sandwich that Dockside Diner had YEARS ago. You can also taste the acidity from the lemon juice and dill. It’s $10.49, and we totally think this is a well worth it dish for guests on a vegan diet!
The third new menu item is a Vanilla Milkshake! Because we will always make room for ice cream. There’s nothing exciting to really say about this milkshake, though — it tasted like a vanilla milkshake. But sometimes, that’s really all you want! The milkshake is $5.49.
Overall, we loved both the salad and the “lobster” roll, and we would totally order them both again! And maybe even the milkshake if we were in a vanilla milkshake kind of mood.
Stay tuned because we’re trying out everything new we can find in the parks!
